This course is 40 hours long and the student is required to successfully pass a general and practical exam at the end of the course. This advanced course focuses on PAUT applications, principles of PAUT probes and sound fields, focal laws and ray tracing, and weld inspection. Course topics range from the basics of PAUT to probe design, focusing and beam steering. This course is recommended for ASNT/ACCP Level 3, UT Level 2 weld inspectors, PAUT Level 1 inspectors, and engineers or project managers seeking a greater understanding of PAUT.
